Tomatoes APIZZA introduced their Neapolitan style pizza to Farmington Hills in 1998 and have received rave reviews ever since…and after my visit, it is VERY easy to see why.  Their pizza style may be different from what you are used to but I PROMISE you it’s worth trying. The flavorful, thin, chewy, crispy, slightly charred pie with fresh ingredients is beyond delicious and will keep you coming back for more!

Leanne Raymond, owner and creator of (Terra)cotta Paste struggled with acne for many years and eventually decided to start mixing and matching her own concoctions. After much trial and error she finally found it – something that worked! After such a great breakthrough she knew she needed to share her discovery with the world. The ACV Toner has become their most popular product. She has since added many new products alongside the original “staples” that continue to define the quality and effectiveness of the brand as a whole. (Terra)cotta Paste is always testing new products and are adding a number of new aromatherapy lifestyle items to the product line in the coming months! Keep your eyes open, but in the mean time… you HAVE to try these products!terra

Our monthly Mitt Roundup is here! In this video, we talk about what we are obsessed with this month at Bacco, Brightly Twisted, Craft Breww City and Iridescence.

Don’t forget, every month we will be rounding up our favorite Michigan based businesses and letting you know what’s going on around our state. Thanks for joining us on our journey as we eat, drink, shop and volunteer our way through the Mitt.

Date Night at Zap Zone

It’s no secret that my husband is a gamer – so when it was time for a date night Zap Zone was an obvious choice! There are various locations throughout metro Detroit but we chose the one in Farmington and had an absolute blast!

This place has everything: go carts, laser tag, glo golf, bumper cars and TONS of arcade games. As soon as we got there, we hit up the glo golf and got ready to play 18 holes. We were so impressed by the design of the course – it was totally indoors but they did such a creative job you forgot you were in a huge warehouse. It was a battle until the end but Dan ended up beating me by just a few strokes.

50 years of Authentic Italian

You know you are about to experience some incredible eats for your palate when one of the first things you see at a restaurant is a woman inside a small “pasta factory” hand making the noodles you are about to eat. That is part of what makes the Rugiero family’s restaurants noteworthy, but so does their bread, pizza & the finished product the noodles create. We frequent the Farmington Hills location and I am a creature of habit when I go there. I always, no matter what, order the Mostaccioli Casseruola (no meat to make it vegetarian). I honestly burn my tongue off each time because I can’t wait to dive into that bubbly, cheesy dish. Each time, I leave with a carryout box stuffed with leftovers and a few pieces of that incredible bread for the next day.
