Our monthly Mitt Roundup is here! In this video, we talk about what we are obsessed with this month at Bacco, Brightly Twisted, Craft Breww City and Iridescence.
Don’t forget, every month we will be rounding up our favorite Michigan based businesses and letting you know what’s going on around our state. Thanks for joining us on our journey as we eat, drink, shop and volunteer our way through the Mitt.
For more than a decade, Bacco has been known for their imaginative Italian cuisine, extensive 5,000 bottle wine cellar and their elegant ambience – all of which Courtney and I experienced during our dinner there last week. While we were extremely impressed with the aforementioned, what truly blew us away can be summed up in one word: PASSION.
From the time we stepped foot through the door to our last bite of dessert, the staff at Bacco made it perfectly clear that is was their PASSION to ensure every single customer had a positive dining experience that fit their individual desires. Here is just one example from our time there…

Next time you’re in the mood for a sandwich, skip the obvious corporate choice and find a Front Page Deli. They are located all over Metro Detroit and are delicious, fresh and affordable.

Court and I stopped by Bigalora for what we thought would be a simple pizza and beer dinner – but what we experienced was very different than expected. Upon entering the restaurant we started to learn that Bigalora was much more than a “pizza joint”…the menu offers small plates, salads, pastas, pizzas and desserts – all utilizing fresh and local products and remaining as naturally organic as possible. And besides the health benefits – the food is absolutely delicious!
It is no secret that we enjoy good food, we made a job out of it! We do not call ourselves foodies, but we think our job of checking out new & local spots gives us the right to share what we like to call the best… so here are our FAVORITE sandwich spots of 2014! (more…)
If you haven’t heard of The Epicurean Group then surely you have heard of or frequented one of their outstanding restaurants; Coach Insignia, Epic Café, Northern Lakes Seafood, Novi Chophouse, the new and highly anticipated Atwater in the Park or Plaza Deli. I recently found myself craving a deli sandwich and in my experience, you cannot just go to any restaurant to fulfill that type of craving, you must make your way to a deli. I am a sucker for delis, a creature of habit and definitely have my favorites, but my recent experience at Plaza Deli has added this place to the list.
