I have always been a HUGE fan of Joe Muer Seafood. Whenever a special occasion or celebration came up, it was place I suggested. But for so long, the only location was in Detroit – which is wonderful but quite the drive for some people. So I was extremely excited to hear about the Bloomfield Hills location opening – now whether you are in the suburbs or downtown, you can enjoy this upscale, phenomenal restaurant.
The new location is located at 39475 Woodward Ave, Bloomfield Hills, MI 48304, right next to The Kingsley Inn. There is valet available or parking in front or on the side of the restaurant.
The beautiful exterior of Joe Muer Seafood.
Joe Muer Seafood has won award after award for best seafood restaurant, restaurant of the year and more. So their prices do reflect the amazing seafood and spectacular service. Entrees range from $35-$90 but they do offer some incredible happy hour drink and appetizer specials.
The sushi is always fresh and unique.
The vibe is my favorite part of this restaurant. The elegant ambiance, live music and top of the line service makes any night spent as Joe Muer Seafood feel like a very special one.
The decor and ambiance is stunning.

Over the weekend I was at the Eastern Market and came across the Stockyard food truck. I was intrigued by the unique sandwich combinations featured on their menu, so I decided to give it a try. When I got to the front of the line, I asked woman what her favorite sandwich was and she said the BLT Chorizo. So that’s what I went with it and all I can say is MMMMMMMMMMM!

The Stockyard food truck is all over the place. So the best thing to do it sign up for location updates on their website or follow them on social media.
Their menu will vary from time to time but here are the prices from the day that I visited.

The vibe at the Stockyard food truck was simple and delicious. I could tell everything on the menu was specifically there for a reason and the sandwiches we crafted with thought and intent. I highly recommend this truck when you are in the mood for a unique sandwich experience.

Tomatoes APIZZA introduced their Neapolitan style pizza to Farmington Hills in 1998 and have received rave reviews ever since…and after my visit, it is VERY easy to see why. Their pizza style may be different from what you are used to but I PROMISE you it’s worth trying. The flavorful, thin, chewy, crispy, slightly charred pie with fresh ingredients is beyond delicious and will keep you coming back for more!

We took a look back at all of the amazing places in Michigan we were lucky enough to experience in 2015. All we can say is WOW – our state is PACKED with incredible places that delight our senses. So, we thought we would give you a quick snapshot of all the spots we visited in the past year.
It’s been years since I dined at Tom’s Oyster Bar, so when I heard they hired Executive Chef Norman Fenton (who redid the entire menu) I thought it was time to give this place another visit and try their new dishes. To say we were impressed is an understatement, the menu options far exceeded your “typical” seafood dishes and were anything but ordinary!
Tom’s Oyster Bar is located at 318 S Main St, Royal Oak, MI 48067. The restaurant is situated in the center of downtown Royal Oak. There is paid street parking surrounding and there are also several parking lots nearby.
The price point at this restaurant is very reasonable for the caliber of seafood served. We chatted with the chef while dinning and he was very passionate about how “choosey” they are about where they get their seafood and how they store it to maintain freshness. It is something that you can definitely notice – everything is FRESH, FRESH, FRESH! The dishes range from $5-$15 for appetizers and the main dishes are $15-$35. The crab boil was my personal favorite. it’s packed with Alaskan king crab, corn, potatoes, shrimp and seasoned to perfection!
The vibe is exactly what you want it to be at a seafood restaurant. Charming checkered table clothes, cozy and relaxed atmosphere and friendly servers all around. If you want a real treat, sit at the bar and order a Spanish Coffee from Frank the bartender. Prepare to be amazed!
All you have to do is read Santorini’s mission statement to understand the experience you will have at this greek eatery: “Our mission is to embody Greece’s culture, a culinary experience of tradition and passion, celebrating life with each meal. With a commitment to service, dedication to value and exceptional quality, we will provide our guests with the experience of authentic Greece.” And they arn’t lyin! That is the exact experience my family and I had while dining at Santorini.

As you may know, Courtney and I are HUGE fans of Tre Monti in Troy. We loved the fine dining experience we had at this award winning restaurant, which you can read all about HERE.
We are excited to announce that they have added some EXCELLENT new offerings to their menu – just in time for summer! The menu is provided below in it’s entirety. We highly recommend that you give Tre Monti a try and let us know what you think!
Growing up, Gaylord was a place my family visited frequently. I have great memories of cousins, aunts, uncles and grandparents enjoying this beautiful town. One of my favorite parts of a Gaylord visit was shopping with the girls, followed by lunch at Diana’s Delight. We always ate there because of the delicious food, fresh baked goods and cheerful atmosphere. Recently, I was able to stop in at Diana’s Delight for the first time in years and it was BETTER than I had remembered.

For more than a decade, Bacco has been known for their imaginative Italian cuisine, extensive 5,000 bottle wine cellar and their elegant ambience – all of which Courtney and I experienced during our dinner there last week. While we were extremely impressed with the aforementioned, what truly blew us away can be summed up in one word: PASSION.
From the time we stepped foot through the door to our last bite of dessert, the staff at Bacco made it perfectly clear that is was their PASSION to ensure every single customer had a positive dining experience that fit their individual desires. Here is just one example from our time there…
