I have always been a HUGE fan of Joe Muer Seafood. Whenever a special occasion or celebration came up, it was place I suggested. But for so long, the only location was in Detroit – which is wonderful but quite the drive for some people. So I was extremely excited to hear about the Bloomfield Hills location opening – now whether you are in the suburbs or downtown, you can enjoy this upscale, phenomenal restaurant.
The new location is located at 39475 Woodward Ave, Bloomfield Hills, MI 48304, right next to The Kingsley Inn. There is valet available or parking in front or on the side of the restaurant.

Joe Muer Seafood has won award after award for best seafood restaurant, restaurant of the year and more. So their prices do reflect the amazing seafood and spectacular service. Entrees range from $35-$90 but they do offer some incredible happy hour drink and appetizer specials.
The sushi is always fresh and unique.
The vibe is my favorite part of this restaurant. The elegant ambiance, live music and top of the line service makes any night spent as Joe Muer Seafood feel like a very special one.
The decor and ambiance is stunning.

To be really honest with you, having newborn pictures taken sounded like torture for the entire family. The combination of a hot August day + an unpredictable newborn + sleep deprived parents + a mom who’s not feeling her best = ugh. But to EVERYONES surprise, our morning with Laurie from Simply Newborn Art was one of the most enjoyable experience we had in those first few weeks of our baby’s life.
We visited Detroit’s Motown Museum and had an amazing time learning about the history of American artists that changed the history of music. Watch the video to see the outside of the museum and click HERE to read all about the tour.
Over the weekend I was at the Eastern Market and came across the Stockyard food truck. I was intrigued by the unique sandwich combinations featured on their menu, so I decided to give it a try. When I got to the front of the line, I asked woman what her favorite sandwich was and she said the BLT Chorizo. So that’s what I went with it and all I can say is MMMMMMMMMMM!

The Stockyard food truck is all over the place. So the best thing to do it sign up for location updates on their website or follow them on social media.
Their menu will vary from time to time but here are the prices from the day that I visited.

The vibe at the Stockyard food truck was simple and delicious. I could tell everything on the menu was specifically there for a reason and the sandwiches we crafted with thought and intent. I highly recommend this truck when you are in the mood for a unique sandwich experience.

Tomatoes APIZZA introduced their Neapolitan style pizza to Farmington Hills in 1998 and have received rave reviews ever since…and after my visit, it is VERY easy to see why. Their pizza style may be different from what you are used to but I PROMISE you it’s worth trying. The flavorful, thin, chewy, crispy, slightly charred pie with fresh ingredients is beyond delicious and will keep you coming back for more!
